Lecturer in Human Nutrition
Are you an academic with a proven ability to carry out teaching and research in human nutrition or related topics? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University? Do you have an excellent research record and proven success obtaining funding?
The School of Food Science and Nutrition is the oldest and highest ranked university department of food science in the UK. The School is continuing to invest in new academic staff, expanding its capability in human nutrition. The post holder will be required to deliver inspirational teaching and supervision as well as internationally recognised research. We invite applications from outstanding academics who are able to demonstrate a track record in student education, research and academic leadership.
As a lecturer in the School of Food Science and Nutrition, you will carry out teaching and research in the field of human nutrition with specific emphasis on public health and data analytics e.g. epidemiology or health statistics. You will contribute to academic leadership and your research will focus particularly on understanding the role of food in contributing to more sustainable and healthier diets for the future. You will be a member of the Nutritional Sciences and Epidemiology research group, building collaborations with research groups in the school, the wider university, and with national and international researchers.
With a passion for undertaking research-led teaching as well as a vision and drive to develop a prestigious internationally competitive research portfolio, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of student education and research at the University of Leeds. You will have a PhD in a relevant field, and a proven record of both research outputs and teaching in a university environment.
